North Carolina A&T and Scout Partner to Set Aggie Athletes Up for Life
Multi-year, full-suite agreement pairs revenue-share management with financial education built to serve Aggie athletes long after their playing days end.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, one of the nation's premier HBCU athletic programs, is investing in its athletes' futures on the field and long after, announcing a multi-year partnership with Scout, a financial technology company committed to athlete empowerment and education.
Through this collaboration, North Carolina A&T will adopt Scout's full suite, pairing Scout Command, which gives the athletic department a single platform to manage revenue-share distribution, roster limits, and cap accounting, with an athlete-facing app that puts financial education, one-on-one support, and tools for taxes, savings, LLC formation, and long-term planning in athletes' hands.
But the partnership goes beyond product delivery. It reflects a shared belief that a program's job doesn't end at graduation, and that the financial foundation an athlete builds today should carry them for decades.
"We are proud to partner with Scout as we navigate the new landscape of Division I athletics," said Curtis Canty, Athletic Director of Compliance at North Carolina A&T State University. "Our student-athletes deserve innovative, seamless solutions that support them both today and long after they leave AggieLand. Scout is exactly the kind of forward-thinking partner we want alongside us."
Scout sees the partnership the same way.
"As an HBCU, North Carolina A&T stands for excellence, legacy, and empowerment — and at Scout, we see ourselves as partners in that mission," said Michael Haddix Jr., CEO and Founder of Scout. "We're proud to work with the Aggies to bring innovation to a storied program while supporting the athletes and departments that make it all possible."
