JACKSONVILLE, Fla., October 28th — The Scout Jacksonville Classic returns Nov. 22–25, and for the first time in event history it will feature a women’s bracket. Nine programs, including Vanderbilt, Arizona, Virginia and Oklahoma, will take the court alongside seven men’s teams at the Florida State College at Jacksonville South Campus, bringing 16 Division I programs to Jacksonville over four days.
The tournament is part of Scout’s season-long title sponsorship of all RBG Events, which extends from an October exhibition in Rock Hill, S.C., through Holiday FestiBall in Fort Lauderdale in December.
The inaugural women’s field is the deepest bracket of the week, with nine teams from across the country: Vanderbilt, Arizona, Virginia, Oklahoma, Oregon State, UAB, Middle Tennessee, George Washington and Montana State. Women’s games tip off Nov. 23 and conclude Nov. 25.
Adding a women’s field gives Jacksonville fans more games to see and gives these nine programs a high-profile early-season test away from home. The men’s bracket features Rice, Robert Morris, Lamar, UIC, Miami OH, New Mexico State and Ohio.
